In 1996, Mansour Rasnavad, an air cargo seasoned executive, through his holding company, acquired
the majority shares of Florida West International Airways, Inc. (Florida West), and became principal controlling share holder, and director.
In 2002, as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rasnavad took operational control of the airline and transitioned Florida West's fleet from DC-8-61's/71's series to modern and fuel efficient B767-300F.
Under Mr. Rasnavad leadership and with a group of dedicated aviation professionals that use motivation, safety and personalizated service to better serve the customer, Florida West has overcome difficult obstacles and become a successful, profitable, and major player in the air cargo industry. Currently Florida West serve several Latin American markets with daily services on a modern and efficient fleet.
